Blizzard kills more than 60 people in US
Thousands of residents are still without power amid a winter storm sweeping across North America.
A deadly blizzard has left more than 60 people dead in the United States.
Half of the people who were killed lived in the city of Buffalo, in New York.
Efforts to recover from record breaking snow storms and freezing temperatures are continuing.
A state official said that military police are being brought in to help manage traffic in the city, where a driving ban remains in place.
However, during the emergency, people have shown resilience and several others have supported one another, in the neighbourhood that is known as 'The City of Good Neighbours'.
Erica Brecker lives in Kenmore in the northern suburbs of Buffalo, a city she moved to eight years ago.
She told Newsday, "Buffalo is an extremely resilient place, and thankfully despite the sad outcome of the storm, there are so many stories of people helping one another, digging out their neighbours, saving the lives of strangers even, it's tremendous to see what good-hearted people are in this community".
