How Ukraine's 'invincibility points' are helping communities
Ukraine is building "points of invincibility" - special shelters offering basic services like fuel, heating and internet access - across its cities as deadly missile strikes and power cuts continue.
Valeriya Ionan is a deputy minister at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
She tells Newsday: “This year has been a nightmare...it is the toughest winter on record. Millions of people are without energy, without heating, without water…but the good news is [there are] invincibility points located in every community and every city.”
