Waterloo Road stars Angela Griffin and James Baxter joined Rachel Burden and Rick Edwards on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live Breakfast after the popular drama was resurrected following an influx in popularity over lockdown.

Angela Griffin is returning as teacher Kim Campbell, who has now been promoted to Head Teacher, along with other old favourites Adam Thomas and Katie Griffiths.

Emmerdale’s James Baxter is one of several new cast members, playing Kim’s deputy head in the new series.

The original run ended in 2015 but its popularity exploded during lockdown, with 45 million streams in 2021, making it iPlayer's fourth most popular series of that year.
