The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s learned that Iranian's in the West Midlands are fearful, unable to work or sleep at night - as they worry for the safety of their families back home.
It's after the death of a 22-year-old woman in police custody in Iran last year. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Midlands Today's David Lumb has been looking at what's happened since.
The words of the people in David's report have been revoiced by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ colleagues - to protect their identity. Protests have been held here in the West Midlands too.
There are 4,500 Iranians living in Birmingham alone - it's the second largest number in the UK. One demonstrator - Bahmaan Raad - who told me the regime knows he's been speaking out, despite him being 4,000 miles away here in Birmingham.
Omid Garoosi is another Iranian businessman living in Birmingham. He runs a restaurant - Rouhi Persian Cuisine in Smethwick - which has been closed ever since the protests began in Iran back in September.
