
Michelle Williams on the messiness of parenting and playing Steven Spielberg’s mum
Anita Rani spoke to Hollywood actor Michelle Williams on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour this week.
Michelle began her career aged 16 in the TV drama Dawson’s Creek. Now, at 42, the award-winning actor is playing a version of Steven Spielberg’s mum in his semi-autobiographical new film The Fabelmans.
Mitzi Fabelman is a concert pianist who’s put her artistic ambition aside to raise a family, and is struggling to play a supporting role to her computer genius husband.
Anita sat down with Michelle to chat about the film and how Steven Spielberg’s mum has inspired her own parenting. Michelle is a mum to a baby, a toddler and a teenager.
