Former cancer patient finally meets hospital therapy dogs
In 2022, Alyssa became the first person in the world to receive ground-breaking treatment for leukaemia.
As a dog lover, the 14-year-old was disappointed that her treatment required isolation, meaning she missed out on a visit from Great Ormond Street Hospital’s therapy dogs.
During a special programme from the hospital, 5 Live’s Naga Munchetty was able to surprise Alyssa with a visit from two furry friends!
This clip is originally from Naga Munchetty on Monday 30 January 2023.
