Romania launches new ‘adviser’ run entirely on AI
Romania's prime minister surprised the world by unveiling a new government "adviser" — run completely on artificial intelligence. He says as far as they know, it's a world first.
Ion won't be dreaming up policy ideas but it has been designed to read and reflect people's opinions, mainly on social media.
“Hi, you gave me life and my role is now to represent you, like a mirror,” it said at the launch. “What should I know about Romania?”
Romania's Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitisatoin Sebastian Burduja is overseeing the project. What exactly is Ion's role?
