'It may be their only warm meal of the day'
The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has announced that all primary school children in London will receive free school meals for a year from September.
Chef Tom Kerridge told 5 Live Breakfast why he believes that this should be expanded to all children in education permanently.
A spokesperson for the Department for Education said: "Since 2010 the number of children receiving a free meal at school has increased by more than two million.
"Over a third of pupils in England now receive free school meals in education settings compared with one in six in 2010.鈥�
