Six Years Old and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½less
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s Social Affairs Correspondent Michael Buchanan meets Koby and his family, who've been living in temporary accommodation, after they were evicted by their landlord.
Koby is a typical 6-year-old boy. But he’s living an unusual life.
For the past six months, he and his family have been homeless - after their landlord decided to sell the property they were renting. Koby, his mum Lily, and one-year-old brother Isiah have been living in hotels, moving out weekly. Some days, they don't know where they'll be sleeping that night.
Now - the family are living in temporary accommodation - a one bed flat in Bristol, but they could get moved out at any minute.
Koby is just one of more than 125,000 homeless children in England - thousands of whom are staying in hotels, bed & breakfasts or other unsuitable properties.
For 5 Minutes On, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s Social Affairs Correspondent Michael Buchanan spoke to Koby, a conversation that offers a rare insight into what it’s like to live like this.
