‘I’m trying to express the impact that pelvic floor dysfunctions can have on women’s lives’

Author and mum of two, Helen Ledwick, discovered she had a prolapse after the birth of her second child.

She tells 5 Live's Nihal Arthanayake why conversations around pelvic floor conditions are crucial to avoid 'medical gaslighting' for women.

Helen says she "loves" the medical profession and that it is full of people who want to help women, but there is sometimes a "pervasive attitude" of thinking pelvic issues are "normal" after having a baby.
