Cassandra is a Ukrainian play, translated by Nina Murray, and touring Cambridge.
Written by Ukraine's pioneering feminist writer, Lesia Ukrainka, the play retells the story of the Trojan war from Cassandra's perspective. Â Â
Chris is also joined by Kateryna Darchyk a 21-year-old translator who arrived in Cambridge in September 2022.
Originally from the Zhytomyr region, she was residing in Kyiv and was displaced as a result of the russian invasion.
After the full-scale invasion, she started taking active part in demonstrations and cultural events to raise awareness about the current war in Ukraine and the support her country needs to win.
