How a mineshaft appeared in a Cornish garden
Cornwall Council says the owners have been advised to contact their insurers and appropriate mining engineers for advice. It's thought the shaft could be part of the old Wheal Trefusis mine complex and the shaft itself could be more than 100m (328ft) deep.
