'The hearts represent my Dad, and thousands more'
In 2021, the first red heart was painted on a wall in London, along the South Bank of the River Thames, opposite the Houses of Parliament. It's now become a memorial to those who died from Covid-19. The art installation, created by members of the public, now contains over two hundred thousand red hearts, and stretches a distance of over 500 metres. Matthew Fowler, from Nuneaton, painted the first heart on memorial in memory of his dad. He revisited the wall with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR’s Marian McNamee.
