Bakhmut ‘is not a city anymore’
For some ten months, Bakhmut, a small industrial city in eastern Ukraine has been pounded by Russian forces.
Before the invasion, there were about 70,000 people living there.
However, according to Liudmyla Buimister, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and a Sergeant in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, “the city is not a city anymore”. She told Newsday: “We should just think about it as a typographic point on a military map.”
