'I was arrested at King Charles's Coronation'

There were protests along the procession route of the Coronation of King Charles on Saturday, and police said they made over 60 arrests. There's been criticism of the police for arresting people not for actions already committed, but over suspicion of conspiracy to commit public nuisance under new laws.

London's Metropolitan Police say they have "a duty to intervene when protest becomes criminal and may cause serious disruption".

Matt Turnbull from campaign group Republic, which would like to abolish the monarchy, was arrested shortly after he arrived in London. He says he and five other members of his group were detained from early in the morning until about 10pm, meaning they had no chance to protest the Coronation. He's been speaking to Newshour's Julian Marshall.
