Man charged almost £1000 in Clean Air Zone fines
Nick Gillett borrowed a friend's old diesel to drive around Bristol - but says he didn't know about the Clean Air Zone. When his friend got home after a month of travelling, he got quite a shock.
Bristol City Council says it’s “always been clear that drivers should use the vehicle checker before travelling” and the zone will “ensure that the city meets the requirement from government to bring air pollution within legal limits in the shortest possible time”.
