Kesha: ‘We're all going through this together. It's not a competition'
Singer Kesha tells Anita Rani on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4's Woman's Hour how she overcame the shame she felt after growing up surrounded by a culture of comparison, where her body was constantly compared to others.
Kesha is best known for her hits like TiK ToK, We R Who We R and Die Young. She was on the programme to talk about her new album Gag Order.
She also spoke about her spiritual awakening, why she’s so in awe of the women around her (who she describes as God-like), and she told Anita all about her ‘angel’ and ‘soulmate’ – her cat Mr. Peep$.
You can listen to the full interview on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sounds – it’s the episode from 19 May.
