International Booker Prize: Georgi Gospodinov becomes first Bulgarian winner
The International Booker Prize has gone to a Bulgarian author for the first time in the award's history. It's the first time a Bulgarian novel has even been nominated.
Georgi Gospodinov's book "Time Shelter" has been called "brilliant", "warm", and "heartbreaking" - and deals with the power and poison of nostalgia.
Georgi is sharing the award with his translator into English, Angela Rodel. They spoke to Newshour's Tim Franks about how the award was received in Bulgaria.
