
Martin Lewis urges the government to help low to middle earners
Consumer finance expert Martin Lewis says despite the energy price cap falling from 1 July, he would like to see the government announce more help for low to middle earners.
Millions of households which receive means-tested benefits, certain disability benefits or who are pensioner households currently receive help with rising bills through cost of living payments, but Martin would like to see these expanded.
Speaking on his ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ podcast, he says: “If I were in charge, I would be looking at what targeted support to give those people just above the threshold of benefits who won’t be getting any help.â€
