Aaron Kent talks poetry: "We don’t open access wide enough to low socio-economic status people"

Influenced by working class poets, the poet Aaron Kent says it’s important to indicate to the working class they can do it too.

“We don’t open that access wide enough to low socio economic status people.

Growing up I couldn’t afford to get books out and read poetry and have the time when I was working. I went into full time work when I was 17.â€

He then spoke about how his writing changed after he had a brain haemorrhage.
