'I'm really, really happy to see deforestation dropping'
There's some very cheering news out of Brazil, the government says that the rate of deforestation in the Amazon region has fallen by a third in the first six months of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's term. Dr Erika Berenguer, senior research associate with the universities of Oxford and Lancaster, has been speaking to Newshour's Tim Franks.
