Finnish FM lobbies for Sweden to join Nato
Finland’s Foreign Minister says the Nato alliance will not be complete until Sweden is made a member.
Elina Valtonen told Newsday: “For a very long time we thought that we would not need Nato membership…but with the brutal invasion of Russia in Ukraine a year and a half ago, the people in Finland decided that now is the time to join…we very much think that our Nato membership is not complete unless Sweden also becomes a member.”
