Hull children's poor dental health
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ health correspondent Dominic Hughes reports from Hull where for many even the wait to see a dentist can be a painful experience! The lack of treatment for children means vital work to prevent tooth decay isn’t being carried out. New data shows the highest average wait for children in England who need a dental general anaesthetic is 18 months. An earlier ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ investigation revealed that 8 in 10 NHS dental practices in the UK are no longer taking on children as new patients.
