Special Olympics: ‘My family could watch me swimming’

Team Special Olympics GB athlete Will Browning, who won gold in the 50-metre freestyle in Berlin this year, says he'd feel positive and confident that his family could watch him swimming.

Speaking to 5 Live’s Tony Livesey, Will’s sister Jemima said that it would be amazing to have the world games hosted in England.

The UK government is looking at the possibility of hosting the Special Olympics World Summer Games in 2031.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
