Dave Thompson lost his son George in October 2021.

George took his own life when he was just 18, after struggling with periods of depression for years.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Tony Livesey, Dave said: 鈥淚 knew I needed to speak to someone.

鈥淚 went to see my doctor and they suggested I self-refer. The waiting time was 8-12 weeks.鈥�

A friend of his recommended mental health charity Mentell.

Dave will be attempting a 24-hour boxing challenge to raise money & awareness for Mentell and men鈥檚 mental health.
