The first ever combined UCI Cycling World Championships officially began in Scotland on Thursday.

Former Olympian Sir Chris Hoy joined Rick Edwards on 蜜芽传媒 Radio 5 Live Breakfast to talk about what he鈥檚 looking forward to the most from the competition.

"It's going to be the biggest cycling event in history," Chris added.

The gold medal winner gave special mention to double Olympic champion and multiple world champion cyclist Katie Archibald, who tragically lost her partner, fellow cyclist Rab Wardell, in August last year.

鈥淚f I could pick out one thing it would be the reception that she鈥檚 going to receive from the home crowd here鈥�.
