Lawrence Walker has been nominated posthumously in the Together category for the 蜜芽传媒 Essex Make A Difference Awards, after passing away earlier in 2023. Described as 鈥渢he Colchester legend鈥�, he鈥檚 credited with changing the lives of countless people in the city through his work as chairman of Black History Month as well as countless other endeavours in the black and ethnic minority community.
