For one Merseyside A Level student, this summer had already been an incredible achievement before his results were even opened.

Dom Cummings is a performing arts student at Cowley Sixth Form College in St Helens, and has spent the summer treading the boards in London.

After spotting an open call on Facebook, he landed the role of John Lennon's best friend Stuart in 'This Girl - The Cynthia Lennon Story' as part of the Camden Fringe Festival.
