Lord Heseltine: this city is going places
Lord Heseltine was in the city for the 15th anniversary of Liverpool One, looking at the transformation that’s taken place.
He played an important role in the regeneration of Liverpool through the eighties. The city would certainly be a very different place today without his work.
He was dubbed the Minister for Merseyside and awarded the Freedom of Liverpool by a Labour-led council back in 2012; the only Conservative in recent times to get that particular honour.
