David Bowie exhibition at Kingston museum
Feb 1972 and 60 people saw Ziggy Stardust for the first time at the Toby Jug, Tolworth.
Can you imagine what 60 people in Kingston thought when they saw Ziggy Stardust for the first time?
It was February 1972 when he launched his character at the Toby Jug in Tolworth, before returning to Kingston
Polytechnic later that year.
It was to be the start of international stardom for the young David Robert Jones.
To mark those events, there's a David Bowie exhibition at Kingston museum. It features memories, mementos, and
art from the time of those two landmark shows. Kairen Kemp took a tour.
