Victoria created 'The Big Bathe' event where people swim off West Wittering beach in Sussex for charity.
She took part in the first Big Bathe in 2022, just a few months before she died, where they raised nearly £70,000 for charity.
Victoria’s sister Georgie is continuing the tradition and held the Big Bathe 2023 in September, raising another £50,000 for Bowel Cancer UK and St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
She told 5 Live's Clare McDonnell: "We think of Victoria every second, every moment and there are silver linings and we get by.
"I very much use swimming as a coping mechanism."
Victoria was very close to Dame Deborah James from the You Me and the Big C Podcast and the two would text regularly. Dame Deborah died from bowel cancer in June 2022.
Georgie said: "Deborah provided a lot of hope and inspiration to Victoria.
"She [Victoria] just felt less lonely joining this small community of bowel cancer sufferers."
