Artist's gift to Bedfordshire couple could fetch 90k
Peter and Wendy Richards were living in Bedfordshire when they let two students shelter from the rain, get warm and dry their clothes, whilst making their way to London.
One of those students was the artist David Hockney - who never forgot the Richards' kindness. In return, he gifted them a ceramic cat that he'd made.
Now it's up for auction - and it's expected to go for a six-figure sum.
Rima Ahmed's been chatting to Dr David MacGregor, a valuer at Stacey's auction house.
