Sir Lenny Henry has announced the return of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s 500 words - the UK's biggest writing contest for children.

Since the competition was first launched in 2011, it has received over one million stories from children throughout the UK.

This year, the competition is encouraging 5 to 11 year olds to 'write the story they would love to read in 500 words or less'.

Children of all abilities are encouraged to use their creativity and imagination to write a story they would love to read, without the pressure of having to worry about spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Speaking to 5 Live, Henry says it's not only great to get more children involved in reading, but great to have more representation on the cover of books.
