Tributes to Berkshire couple killed in Uganda attack
Tributes have been paid to a couple from Hampstead Norreys in West Berkshire - David and Celia Barlow - who have been killed on their honeymoon in a suspected militant attack in Uganda.
Police in Uganda say three people were killed in the attack on a tourist vehicle, near the country’s border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. The attackers are believed to be Islamist rebels. A variety of tributes have been paid to the couple – including from local politicians because of David’s role as Chairman of the village’s parish council.
Stephen Davis was a close friend of the couple – and was at their wedding on Saturday. He spoke to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Berkshire’s Andrew Peach about the couple and their impact on the local community.
