Birkenhead Park: world heritage site in waiting?
Wirral's iconic Birkenhead Park has moved a step closer to World Heritage Status.
It's one of the sites submitted by the UK government and could eventually join the likes of Stonehenge and Hadrian’s Wall.
They are places considered to be of "outstanding universal value" which need to be protected for future generations.
