    It started as a trickle - Bewl Water at 50
Work began on reservoir near Lamberhurst in October 1973 as housing increased and demand for water grew.
It's now a great expanse of water, which alongside supplying Kent and Sussex with drinking water is also a space to enjoy watersports, nature and even weddings.
Reporter Jo Burn met some of those instrumental in its development.
