Warwick Royal British Legion has poppy stock destroyed
The Royal British Legion launches its 2023 Poppy Appeal today and this year the public will able to get hold of its newly designed plastic-free poppy for the first time.
The new poppy, which is completely recyclable, is the first redesign of the iconic symbol of Remembrance in a generation and the latest designs since the poppy was first used to raise funds in 1921.
However the Warwick branch says they've lost around 95% of their own poppy stock due to flooding from Storm Babet. Tony Glover, Chairman of the Warwick Branch of the Royal British Legion speaks to Vic Minett.
