What did Eurovision do for Liverpool?
"Eurovision didn't change Liverpool, Liverpool changed Eurovision". That's according to one of the speakers at a conference in the city, looking at the impact hosting the event had back in May.
According to new figures, hosting Eurovision gave the city region economy a £55 million boost.
Over three hundred thousand people attended a Eurovision-related event, and 175,000 city-centre hotel rooms were sold in May - the best month since 2018.
