‘Essex girl’ on Broadway
It's been nearly three years since the term 'Essex Girl' has been removed from the dictionary - after a campaign from the Essex Girls Liberation Front.
That definition was "a young working-class woman from the Essex area, typically considered as being unintelligent, materialistic, devoid of taste, and sexually promiscuous”.
Lindsay Lucas-Bartlett from Westcliff is continuing to challenge the stereotype.
