Beatles film director Oliver Murray: 'It was Sean and Yoko’s wish that it would happen'
Written and directed by Oliver Murray, ‘Now and Then - The Last Beatles Song’ charts how the two remaining Beatles used new technology to transform a John Lennon demo tape into a new track.
It’s been 45 years in the making with Lennon initially recording it in 1978 and Sir Paul McCartney with the help of Sir Ringo Starr finishing it last year.
Artificial intelligence was able to ‘lift’ Lennon's voice from the original tape and remove the background noise.
Speaking to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live’s Adrian Chiles, Oliver said: “That sort of brotherly bond between those four remains and this was a chance to use the technology to literally put the band back together".
