Johnny Marr on AI in music: 'Like MSG for the ears but worse'
Johnny Marr, the former Smiths guitarist and now solo player, isn't convinced AI will take over the music industry.
The subtlety and emotion that musicians pour into their tracks is something, Johnny thinks, AI would never be able to understand.
It comes after The Beatles released their final ever song 'Now and Then' with the help of AI software to extract the voice of John Lennon, recorded on a demo track in 1978, which was then applied to the remastered track by the two remaining Beatles last year.
Speaking to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live's Nihal Arthanayake, Johnny said: "I don't think it bodes very well for artistic or creative people".
