Tessa Sanderson recalls her javelin throw that set an Olympic record
Tessa Sanderson didn't go into the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics as favourite, yet she left with a gold medal around her neck, becoming the first black British woman to win Olympic gold.
She remains the only British athlete to win gold in an Olympic throwing event.
Speaking to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live's Adrian Chiles, Tessa said: "At the time I didn't know it was history.
"There was a little bit of turf that came up and I thought 'oh my god, has it made a mark?'
"And it came up a new Olympic record."
