Lauren Mahon: 鈥業 wasn鈥檛 there to give a TED talk, I鈥檓 there to have a date鈥�

You, Me and the Big C podcast presenter Lauren Mahon has launched a new campaign called 鈥楪irl vs Cancer鈥�.

It鈥檚 aimed at addressing issues around sex and intimacy with the cancer community.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Naga Munchetty, Lauren said: 鈥淕oing through [cancer], you deserve to feel the love, intimacy and security of a loving relationship.鈥�

Lauren was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2016 aged 31.

She is the only surviving original host of the You, Me and the Big C, following the deaths of Rachael Bland in 2018 and Deborah James last year.
