'48 hours to move out, she won't eat or drink'
Elderly Residents in Sheppey have been forced to find a new place to live after a failed health and safety inspection closed their care home.
Blackburn Lodge, which is funded by Kent County Council, shut on Friday, after the discovery of iron in the building’s water supply.
It means 13 residents are now having to secure a new place to live and a new care-provider, causing anger and frustration for loved ones.
David Sawyer spoke to Anna Cookson about his mother-in-law, Rita who was moved out of the care home after it was closed.
