The debate dividing those who are creating AI
The sacking of Sam Altman, the former CEO of OpenAI is not over yet.
He was hired by Microsoft, but staff at OpenAI have continued to call for the board to resign and for Mr Altman to be reinstated.
This might seem like a drama that is playing out to those who are involved in Silicon Valley. But there are reasons why you should care about who is leading AI innovation and how they are doing so.
Stephanie Hare is a researcher on technology and ethics and the author of Technology Is Not Neutral: A short guide to technology ethics. She told Newshour's Nuala McGovern why this is a situation people should care about.
