Heavy snow across large parts of south and west Cumbria is causing a lot of problems this evening.

Most of the county is currently under a yellow Met Office weather warning for snow and ice, and there's an amber warning for snow which covers an area stretching from Workington, down the coast to Barrow, and in land as far as Keswick, Ambleside and Windermere.

Cumbria Police say you should only travel tonight if it's really necessary.
