Derby primary school re-opens 3 years after fire
A Derby primary school re-opens over 3 years after the original site was burnt to the ground by a teenage arsonist. Brand new classrooms, playgrounds and teaching spaces have been built for pupils at St Mary's in Darley Abbey after the fire in October 2020 forced them to relocate. Students have been at a temporary site on Mansfield Road for the interim, while the 8 million pound rebuild took place.
