As leaders and activists gather in Dubai for the COP28 climate conference - many have also been thinking about what they can do closer to home.

Kwesia, otherwise known as City Girl in Nature, grew up in Deptford in South-East London, and after a life-changing trip to the Amazon, she began a journey of turning away from her difficult upbringing, and immersing herself in nature.

She now uses her own experience and platform to connect a whole new generation of city dwellers with the great outdoors.

She set up a Youtube Channel and also a podcast called Get Birding, and she recently won Best New Voice at the Audio Production Awards.

But how did she get here?

Kwesia has been speaking to Krupa Padhy for Woman's Hour on 蜜芽传媒 Radio 4.
