Suffolk: Ten years since east coast tidal surge
It’s ten years since the east coast was hit by the worst North Sea surge since 1953.
Hundreds of homes and businesses were flooded.
The first phase of work to raise river walls on the Alde and Ore estuary starts next year and will cost £12 million.
A further £20 million will have to be raised to complete the entire project.
