'I've found the missing half of my life'

A pensioner in Worcester has discovered the family she never knew existed - after using a DNA kit to solve a 75-year mystery.

80-year-old Reta Michael, from Worcester, was born to a Canadian man and a British woman, who met at an air force base when they were both serving in the Second World War.

She never knew her dad, and grew up here with her mum and adopted father - but decided to use a DNA testing kit in 2017, and it's helped her trace three aunties, a half-sister and countless cousins since then, all of whom live in Canada.

Our reporter Tom Edwards interviewed Reta Michael to find out how she managed to find her family.
